Are you looking for a great work environment with 4 day work week and air conditioned shop? IRD, LLC is your ticket! IRD manufactures industrial test equipment used in the rotating apparatus industry. We are currently looking for a welder fabricator who will provide their detail skills to welding and assembling our IRD Balancers and Lexseco Core Loss Testers. You will also operate a saw in our small manufacturing facility in Louisville, Kentucky. Appy today for this great opportunity to set up shop in our state of the art facility.
* Must be able to fabricate and weld to comply with IRD documentation and quality requirements.
* Will assist with assembly and operate saw.
* Must be able to work in air conditioned shop environment, must be able to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, etc.
* Must be able to read welding diagrams and mechanical drawings, must be able to stage and layup parts, make fixtures, etc.
* Must have high school diploma or GED
* Must have 3 years experience in fabrication and welding of mechanical components and assemblies.
* Must have a strong work ethic and a willingness to perform a variety of duties as required.
* MIG, TIG, stick and other welding equipment
* Band saw, drill presses and other miscellaneous power and hand tools, forklift, overhead crane and hoists
* Spray paint experience
