Job Skills / Requirements

The soiled linen must be picked up and placed in the corresponding container. The sorter must be able to handle 90 pounds of soiled linen per hour to keep the soil belt moving. Sorters need to watch the display screen above the sling and be aware of the change out process between accounts. Sorters need to have knowledge of hospitals that have COG and special items that have special handling procedures. Sorters are required to wear protective gowns and gloves. The soil room sorter is responsible for the correct sorting of hospital linen that has been placed on a constantly moving conveyor belt in front of them.

Position responsible for overseeing the 3rd shift soil team. Responsible for filling in for vacations in all areas of department. Position responsible for tracking work logs and keeping the soil team on track to complete orders on time. Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds frequently. Responsible for covering vacation for Production Supervisor including all paper/computer work.

Position works 1:00 AM to 9:30 AM/ Work Complete. (Mandatory Overtime)
