As a key member of our team, you are responsible for assisting the Teen Tech Center Director in providing an essential resource to youth in the community who are interested in technology. The Teen Tech Center serves the youth of Louisville as a project space to explore areas of technology like graphic design, music production, 3D printing, video making, photography, robotics, and much more. This position will support youth in community-run programs, YMCA programs, and any other children using the center.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum age of 21
- Team Player with personal commitment to YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character Development Values
- Previous experience working with school-age children, required
- Experience in various aspects of technology as outlined above, required
- Passion working with children and the ability to connect with youth of all ages
- Must be willing to travel for Best Buy and Clubhouse conferences
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists the Teen Tech Center Director by overseeing the supervision of all youth in the center.
- Upholds the mission of the YMCA, and demonstrate behaviors that reflect a determined, nurturing, genuine, hopeful, and welcoming nature.
- Greets and signs members into the center as they arrive.
- Monitors the activities taking place in the center and guiding members to different projects.
- Provides technical support and acts as an instructional resource to learning new technologies.
- Cleans equipment on a regular basis and maintains proper sanitation and health protocols.
- Assists the Teen Tech Center Director with technology and projects in the Teen Tech Center.
- Assists the Teen Tech Center Director with recruiting youth to utilize the center.
- Attends Best Buy and Clubhouse meetings as well as video conferences with the Teen Tech Center Director.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Lifting up to 50lbs
- Climbing, sitting, standing, pushing, walking, kneeling, and stooping
STATUS: Part Time; Non-Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $15/hr
Education Requirements (Any)
Experience in various aspects of technology as outlined above, required
Previous experience working with school-age children, required
